Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify conformance.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed inspection records.
  • Identify and isolate defective products, communicating findings to production and quality management.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained according to schedule and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry, record-keeping, and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced metrology equipment, such as CMMs, vision systems, or laser scanners.
  • ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Technician - CQT).
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
