Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, program, and set up complex CNC machines for precision manufacturing.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Ensure all machined components meet strict quality standards through thorough inspection and process control.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, optimizing programs and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform advanced tool changes, fixture setups, and minor preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and meet production schedules.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing adherence to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in precision CNC machining (mills, lathes) and manual machining.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of machinists, including task assignment and performance management.
  • Expert-level knowledge in CNC programming (G-code, M-code), setup, operation, and troubleshooting of multi-axis machines.
  • Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and implementing quality control processes to ensure part accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Strong understanding of various machining materials, cutting tools, and optimal machining parameters.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with advanced CAM software for complex geometries or multi-axis machining.
  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and applying advanced GD&T principles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience for CNC equipment.
