Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate laser welding processes for manufacturing applications.
- Specify, procure, install, and qualify new laser welding equipment and tooling.
- Diagnose and resolve complex laser welding process, equipment, and quality issues.
- Establish and implement quality control standards and inspection methods for laser welds.
- Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on laser welding best practices.
- Perform root cause analysis for weld defects and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
- Generate and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and engineering reports.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial laser welding process development and optimization.
- Deep understanding of laser-material interactions, metallurgy, and weld defect analysis.
- Proficiency with laser welding equipment operation, programming (e.g., CNC, robotics), and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex welding issues and implement robust corrective actions.
- Knowledge of relevant welding quality standards (e.g., AWS D17.1, ISO) and metrology techniques.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic integration for automated laser welding systems.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or weld simulation software.
- Experience with advanced metrology techniques for weld characterization (e.g., CT scanning, profilometry).
