Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on various metals and materials according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including but not limited to MIG, TIG, and stick welders.
  • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality standards and structural integrity.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Document welding activities, materials used, and any deviations from standard procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary welding certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in performing quality inspections and using measurement tools.
  • Understanding of welding safety procedures and regulations.
  • Experience with troubleshooting welding equipment and identifying defects.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with robotic welding systems
  • - Certified welding inspector (CWI) designation
  • - Proficiency in advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
  • - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
