Salary Range: $79,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality assurance programs and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and process control plans.
• Manage incoming material inspection processes and ensure conformity to requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure supplier readiness and quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in supplier quality assurance, auditing, and qualification within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their application to supplier processes.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA) tools (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa diagrams), and problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective supplier collaboration and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and common quality control techniques relevant to the industry.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software
• - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• - Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., automotive, medical device, aerospace)
