Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and repair dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate precision machinery such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications.
• Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling to extend lifespan and ensure operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool designs and manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in precision machining techniques (e.g., grinding, milling, turning, EDM).
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM).
• In-depth knowledge of various metals, alloys, and heat treatment processes.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, build, repair, and maintenance of dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with CNC programming and operation for tool and die work.
• - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for design and manufacturing.
• - Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tool steels.
• - Familiarity with EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) operations.
