Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and repair precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications to plan manufacturing processes.
- Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Perform precise measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and equipment during production runs.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tool and die components.
- Maintain accurate records of tooling modifications, repairs, and inventory.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining various tool and die making machinery, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties relevant to tool and die construction.
- Proficiency in precision measurement techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting and quality control.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with CNC programming and operation
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
- - Knowledge of various heat-treating processes
- - Experience with precision grinding and polishing techniques
