Salary Range: $65,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of tools and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, dies, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment, implementing strict control measures.
• Supervise, train, and mentor tool room personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for all tooling and machinery within the tool room.
• Ensure the proper calibration and repair of tools and gauges to maintain manufacturing quality standards.
• Develop and manage the tool room budget, including procurement of new tools and replacement parts.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify tooling needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, maintenance, and repair history.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Experience with inventory management and procurement of tooling.
• Leadership and team supervision skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety regulations and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• - Basic understanding of CNC machining principles
• - Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff
