Salary Range: $63,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair complex tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications to plan and execute machining operations.
• Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment, with precision.
• Perform precise measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and dies to maintain production efficiency and quality.
• Maintain and sharpen cutting tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to identify tooling needs and implement improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar precision machining role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Expertise in operating and maintaining various machine tools such as CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties relevant to tooling.
• Skill in fabricating, repairing, and modifying tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to exacting specifications.
• Ability to perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming
• - Experience with CNC machining centers and EDM machines
• - Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tooling
• - Familiarity with various types of plastics and molding processes
