Salary Range: $89,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Apply advanced statistical methods (e.g., SPC, MSA, DOE, regression analysis) to monitor process performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct complex root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Shainin, or Six Sigma, and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process capability studies for critical manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate quality requirements early in the product lifecycle and mitigate potential risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for quality tools, methodologies, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Proven experience leading root cause analysis and driving effective corrective and preventive actions.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for advanced data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Certified Lead Auditor for relevant industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
• Certification in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) or significant experience applying DFSS principles.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Industry 4.0 or Smart Manufacturing quality solutions (e.g., AI/ML for defect detection, real-time analytics).
