Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using various metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Adjust machine offsets, tooling, and programs to maintain part tolerances and optimize production efficiency.
• Load raw material, change worn tools, and perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms, process issues, and quality deviations.
• Maintain accurate production records, including part counts, scrap rates, and quality inspection data.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and G-code/M-code.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Strong understanding of machining parameters, tool wear, and material characteristics (e.g., stainless steel, brass).
• Skilled in performing in-process quality inspections and making necessary offsets or adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code/M-code programming for advanced editing and optimization.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAM software for program validation or optimization.
