Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Bookkeeper / Office Managers. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process payroll, maintain accurate employee records, and support HR administrative functions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Oversee office administration, including ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating facility maintenance.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the leadership team and production departments.
  • Assist with inventory data entry and production cost tracking for financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist with year-end close and tax preparation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage office operations, supplies, and provide general support.
  • Experience supporting financial and administrative processes within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with vendors, clients, and internal staff.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management processes and their financial implications.
  • Experience supporting HR functions, including benefits administration or compliance.
