Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for lathe machines using CAD/CAM software or manual G-code.
- Select and specify appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and workholding devices.
- Perform program simulation and verification to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize tool paths.
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Analyze part drawings, specifications, and material properties to determine optimal machining strategies and parameters.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to troubleshoot and refine machining processes.
- Implement process improvements to reduce cycle times, enhance part quality, and minimize material waste.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit) for G-code generation.
- Strong understanding of CNC lathe operations, tooling, and workholding principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
- Knowledge of various materials and their machining properties.
- Experience with process optimization, cycle time reduction, and troubleshooting machining issues.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience programming multi-axis or live tooling CNC lathes.
- Proficiency in a secondary CAM software or advanced CAD modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and fabricating machining fixtures.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with CMM operation and advanced metrology techniques.
