Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for manufacturing systems, hardware (e.g., shop floor workstations, scanners, printers) and software applications.
  • Provide timely technical support to production staff for specialized manufacturing equipment connectivity and operational technology (OT) issues.
  • Log, track, and prioritize help desk tickets, ensuring effective communication and resolution within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity checks for industrial control systems and plant floor devices.
  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT assets across office and production environments.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles and documentation for common manufacturing-specific IT issues and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff and OT engineers to escalate complex issues and support system upgrades.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT help desk or technical support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and manufacturing-specific equipment (e.g., barcode scanners, industrial PCs).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users in a fast-paced production setting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) common in manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) environments, including PLCs, SCADA, or industrial control systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing plant safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting specialized manufacturing hardware (e.g., industrial PCs, barcode scanners, label printers).
