Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and certification.
• Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and ensure successful Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (8D methodology) for internal and and external quality issues.
• Conduct internal audits (process, product, and system) and support external IATF 16949 surveillance and re-certification audits.
• Develop, implement, and monitor process control plans, FMEAs, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure product and process quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product quality, resolve non-conformances, and drive supplier performance improvement.
• Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, ensure timely resolution, and promote customer satisfaction.

Recommended Qualifications

• Deep expertise in IATF 16949 standard implementation and maintenance.
• Proficiency with core automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis).
• Minimum 3-5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Certified IATF 16949 Lead Auditor qualification
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality development and management
• Proficiency with advanced statistical software or data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python)
