Salary Range: $40,000 - $63,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct various quality tests using specialized equipment and document results accurately.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify product dimensions.
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed quality records, inspection logs, and test reports.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality principles.
  • Experience with data collection, basic statistical analysis (e.g., SPC), and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and support corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
  • Knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming.
  • Internal audit experience or certification (e.g., ISO 9001 internal auditor).
