Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Tool and Die Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing dies and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of tool and die making processes, machinery, and materials
• Ability to operate manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for design and programming
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery (e.g., mills, lathes, EDM)
• Demonstrated ability to perform precision measurements using a variety of tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, micrometers)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of tooling and equipment
