Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Manage the procurement, inventory, and issuance of tools and supplies.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all tool room equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to optimize tool design and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repairs, and inventory.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tool room operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool and die making, machining, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools, equipment, and quality control processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various tool room machinery (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDM).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and fabrication.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certification in a relevant skilled trade (e.g., machinist, tool and die maker).
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for tool life cycle management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and work order management.
