Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize tooling solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify tooling needs and implement improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling-related issues.
• Manage the lifecycle of tooling, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for tooling specifications and procedures.
• Evaluate new tooling technologies and materials for potential application in production.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on tooling usage and maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for designing and simulating tooling.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, materials, and their impact on tooling performance.
• Experience with tool room operations, including machining, grinding, and assembly of complex tools.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in a programming language like Python or C++.
• Certification in a relevant area (e.g., GD&T, PMP).
• Experience with simulation software for tooling design and validation.
