Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Jenison that are seeking Weld Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and torches.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment and machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize welding processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification
• 3+ years experience in manufacturing welding
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
• Experience with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to perform quality inspections and basic troubleshooting

Bonus Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welder (CW) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, including GD&T.
• Familiarity with various NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT, UT).
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
