Salary Range: $51,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
• Load and unload raw materials, tools, and finished parts.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and work area.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common operational issues or quality deviations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating multi-axis CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code programming.
• Skilled in setting up tooling, fixtures, and work offsets, and performing tool changes.
• Adept at using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges for quality inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for machine and program issues, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for program generation or modification.
• Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative care.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
