EHS Manager | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Investigate all EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver effective EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, chemical safety, and industrial hygiene initiatives.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and incident command.
• Promote and foster a proactive safety culture throughout the manufacturing facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 certified management systems
• Proficiency with advanced EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Sphera, Intelex)
• Demonstrated experience in EHS data analytics and predictive modeling for risk reduction
• Multi-site or global EHS management experience within a manufacturing context
