Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components using various metrology equipment.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement instruments and systems.
  • Generate and maintain accurate calibration records, inspection reports, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Develop and implement measurement procedures and work instructions to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and provide feedback for process improvement.
  • Assist in the selection, acquisition, and validation of new metrology equipment and software.
  • Ensure all metrology activities comply with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other precision measurement equipment (e.g., optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Solid understanding of metrology principles, calibration techniques, and measurement uncertainty.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing dimensional inspections, data analysis, and generating detailed inspection reports.
  • AAS degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Qualifications

  • CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Strong understanding and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for model interpretation.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.
