The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Mechanics. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical malfunctions in industrial systems.
• Install, dismantle, and relocate manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for repairs and installations.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies during maintenance operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex machinery.
• Commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• PLC troubleshooting and basic programming experience
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Basic welding and fabrication skills
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
