Salary Range: $44,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Grind, cut, and prepare metal surfaces for welding, ensuring proper fit and finish.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to design specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of PPE.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
  • Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
  • Strong attention to detail for quality welds and inspections.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick, Flux-cored).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints or schematics.
  • AWS D1.1, D1.2, or similar advanced welding certifications.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting or maintenance.
