Salary Range: $54,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and mentor shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and support.
• Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving area, conducting regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and resolve any issues.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all shipments and receipts.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment in the shipping and receiving area.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to shipping and receiving.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and material handling equipment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team.
• Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal departments and external carriers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management software beyond basic WMS functions (e.g., advanced reporting, cycle counting optimization).
• Forklift certification or experience operating specialized material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in warehouse operations.
• Basic understanding of import/export documentation and customs procedures.
• Proven ability to train and mentor new team members in shipping and receiving best practices.
