Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate laser welding processes for manufacturing applications.
• Design, procure, and implement laser welding fixtures and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex laser welding equipment and process issues.
• Establish and maintain process parameters to ensure consistent weld quality and integrity.
• Perform root cause analysis for weld defects and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design and production teams on DFM for laser welded components.
• Specify, evaluate, and integrate new laser welding technologies and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in laser welding principles, processes, and equipment operation.
• Proficiency in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting laser welding parameters for various materials.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, and weld defect analysis.
• Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and CAD/CAM software for laser system integration.
• Demonstrated ability to improve weld quality, process stability, and production efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic laser welding systems or automation integration.
• Proficiency in weld simulation software (e.g., finite element analysis for thermal stress, distortion).
• Knowledge of advanced material joining techniques or exotic alloys (e.g., medical, aerospace grade materials).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
