Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify adherence to specifications.
• Accurately document inspection results, including identification of defects and non-conformances.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with established quality standards, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Initiate and maintain Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected items.
• Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and provide feedback on quality trends.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Understanding of quality control methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills for identifying defects.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating or programming CMMs or vision inspection systems.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Ability to interpret 3D CAD models for inspection purposes.
