Salary Range: $41,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials and components.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, blueprints, and quality specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems or inspection logs.
  • Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Utilize and maintain various precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials.
  • Approve and release conforming materials for production use.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
  • Solid understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience identifying non-conformances and documenting inspection results accurately.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material receiving and tracking.
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts.
  • Experience contributing to root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues.
  • Certification in Quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector - CQI).
