Salary Range: $46,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Inspect welds for quality, defects, and adherence to standards.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW.
  • Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Select appropriate welding materials and consumables for specific jobs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on welding machinery and tools.
  • Document welding procedures, test results, and production data.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to perform quality control checks on welds and troubleshoot welding issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Bonus Qualifications

  • - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, seam welding)
  • - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.6)
  • - Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., visual inspection, dye penetrant)
