Key Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges using machining equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute manufacturing processes.
• Perform machining operations such as milling, grinding, turning, and EDM to precise tolerances.
• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on tooling and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Inspect finished products and tooling using precision measuring instruments to verify conformity to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling performance and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to identify tooling needs and develop innovative solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations and company procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders).
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement techniques.
• Experience with tool steels, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair dies, molds, and fixtures.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with CNC programming and operation.
• - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design.
• - Knowledge of heat treatment processes for tooling.
• - Familiarity with various welding techniques for tool repair.
• - Experience with statistical process control (SPC).
