Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Manage, maintain, and organize all tooling, fixtures, gauges, and equipment within the tool room.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the tool room environment.
• Develop and manage inventory of spare parts and consumables for tooling, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Coordinate with production and engineering departments to address tooling needs and resolve issues.
• Maintain records of tool maintenance, repair, and calibration schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the tool room.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tool room environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of tool maintenance, repair, and calibration procedures.
• Experience with CNC machining and conventional machining equipment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management and control systems for tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Certification in inventory management or supply chain logistics.
• - Proficiency in CAD software for tool design and modification.
• - Familiarity with preventative maintenance scheduling and execution for tooling.
• - Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior tool room staff.
