Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes for precision part production.
• Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs to achieve specified part dimensions and surface finishes.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Change worn tooling, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot minor machine alarms or malfunctions.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning machines and checking fluid levels.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure product quality and specifications are met.
• Document production activities, quality checks, and machine downtime accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, gauges).
• Ability to perform tool changes, adjustments, offsets, and routine preventative maintenance.
• Experience with in-process quality control, identifying non-conformances, and troubleshooting machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code/M-code editing or light programming.
• Proven experience with full machine setup and first-piece prove-out for new jobs.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for process and and machine issues.
• Experience operating CMM or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
