Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical specifications.
• Load raw material, adjust machine settings, and replace tooling as needed.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, make necessary adjustments, and optimize processes.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure optimal performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Document production output, quality control data, and maintenance activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators) for quality control.
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for minor program adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Experience with tool offsets, tool changes, and routine machine maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code programming or advanced program editing.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical/electrical repairs on CNC machinery.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
• Ability to train and mentor junior operators.
