Salary Range: $53,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for lathe operations using CAM software or manual G-code.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices based on part specifications and material.
- Create detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and operational instructions for machine operators.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance, proper tool paths, and part accuracy.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to determine optimal machining strategies.
- Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for 2-axis and multi-axis lathe programming.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC turning centers.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in CNC lathe programming and optimization in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, feeds/speeds, and various material properties for turning applications.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with multi-axis milling or mill-turn programming
- Proficiency in a secondary CAM software package (e.g., Esprit, GibbsCAM, SolidCAM)
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles
- Experience with fixture design and optimization
- Familiarity with DNC systems and shop floor data collection
