Salary Range: $79,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems, PLCs, and industrial controls on the production floor.
- Implement and optimize real-time control algorithms for automation and process efficiency.
- Integrate embedded systems with factory automation platforms (e.g., SCADA, MES) and sensor networks.
- Develop and maintain diagnostic tools and test fixtures for manufacturing line quality control.
- Collaborate with production and process engineers to identify and implement embedded solutions for yield improvement.
- Ensure embedded system designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development on microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC, AVR).
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers; ability to read schematics.
- Experience with the full product lifecycle in a manufacturing environment, including DFM/DFT principles and production test automation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP)
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849)
- Understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) or SCADA integration
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles for hardware
