Salary Range: $74,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Traverse City seeking Test Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and executing test plans for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects and working with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
• Developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks for continuous testing.
• Analyzing test data and providing detailed reports on product performance and quality.
• Collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to ensure testability and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Performing root cause analysis of failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in test engineering within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing automated test systems using programming languages like Python, C#, or LabVIEW.
• Strong understanding of data acquisition systems, sensor technologies, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for identifying trends and root causes of failures.
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry safety regulations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automated test frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework)
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and sensor technologies
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques
• Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems
