Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Perform precision measurements using instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling performance and production.
• Maintain and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal manufacturing efficiency.
• Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tooling applications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Expertise in operating a wide range of manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM)
• Experience with various materials, including tool steels, carbides, and engineered plastics
