Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Tooling Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborates with production and R&D teams to optimize existing tooling for efficiency and quality.
• Conducts root cause analysis of tooling failures and implements corrective actions.
• Manages tooling inventory, maintenance schedules, and repair processes.
• Evaluates and selects appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for tooling.
• Develops and maintains detailed documentation for tooling designs and specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, CNC machining) and their tooling requirements.
• Experience with tool life cycle management, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of material properties and their application in tooling for different manufacturing processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design and manufacturing (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Mastercam).
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond injection molding, such as stamping, casting, or machining.
• Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques for tooling verification (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Certification in relevant areas like GD&T, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
