Salary Range: $42,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Weld Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) on a variety of materials and thicknesses.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine welding specifications.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to established standards using appropriate tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment, fixtures, and tooling to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize welding processes and improve product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate's degree in welding technology preferred
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, weld defects, and quality control procedures
• Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment, including troubleshooting and basic repairs
