Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and implement welding procedures (WPS) in accordance with industry codes and specifications.
• Provide technical support and expertise to production, quality, and maintenance teams for welding-related issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and non-conformances.
• Evaluate and select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Conduct welder qualification and certification testing in compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability and manufacturability of new products and designs.
• Implement and maintain welding quality control plans and inspection criteria.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or higher certification.
• Proficient in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW) and their application in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience with NDT methods and interpreting results.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and material science related to welding.
