Weld Technician | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Weld Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials and part geometries.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine welding processes and specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, including welders, torches, and positioners.
• Inspect welds for quality, defects, and adherence to established standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments to equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize welding procedures and improve product quality.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to welding operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing welding environment
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
• Experience with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, STICK)
• Ability to perform basic maintenance on welding equipment
