Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) in accordance with industry codes and standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for welding processes and equipment on the production floor.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize welding processes for quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability and manufacturability of new products.
• Perform metallurgical analysis of welds and base materials to assess integrity and performance.
• Develop and deliver training programs for welders and manufacturing personnel on welding techniques and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material science, and their application to welding.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Experience with Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods and quality control procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods beyond visual inspection
• Project management experience in a manufacturing setting
• Advanced CAD/CAM software proficiency
