Orthodontic Therapist

 Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Orthodontic Therapist to join a team either full-time or part-time and support the delivery of high-quality orthodontic treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out clinical orthodontic procedures prescribed by the orthodontist, including:

    • Taking impressions, photographs, and radiographs

    • Fitting, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances (e.g., braces, retainers)

    • Monitoring treatment progress and making necessary adjustments

    • Educating patients on appliance care and oral hygiene

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

  • Support the orthodontist during more complex procedures

  • Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures

  • Provide a high standard of patient care, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and respected

  • Contribute to a positive and professional working environment within the team

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Therapist

  • Experience in a clinical dental or orthodontic setting 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Staying updated with developments in orthodontics
