Were partnering with a global luxury fashion house to hire a Senior People Operations Manager for the North Asia region.

What Youll Do

Operational Excellence & HR Services

  • Align local and regional HR operations with global priorities

  • Lead HR operations (offshore & in-house) to ensure best-in-class service delivery

  • Serve as the primary escalation point and partner on HR projects and process design

  • Monitor trends, analyze data, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and employee experience

  • Manage HR systems and digital tools (Workday Core, PeopleDoc, ServiceNow) to drive digitalization

  • Continuously improve HR processes, policies, and communications

Compliance & Employment Regulation

  • Ensure adherence to employment regulations and HR compliance initiatives
  • Advise HR teams on local and regional employment law requirements
  • Oversee government reporting, audits, and data integrity for HR operations
  • Maintain compliance with regional data privacy policies

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and inspire a team of 5–6 HR professionals, fostering transparency, collaboration, and inclusion
  • Partner with regional leadership and HR teams to deliver seamless HR services
  • Own Japan operational initiatives; support Korea HR team with operational excellence and compliance

Who You Are

  • Experience: 8+ years in HR operations, project management, and people leadership
  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent

  • Languages: Fluent Japanese & English; Korean a plus

  • HR Expertise: Deep knowledge of Japanese (and preferably Korean) employment law, case management systems (ServiceNow), and HCM environments (Workday/SuccessFactors)
  • Skills: Ownership & process-driven mindset, analytical capabilities, excellent stakeholder communication, vendor management
  • Bonus: Payroll experience and prior multi-market HR exposure
