About the Role Our Client operates a medical transport service providing professional and caring non-emergency patient transport across Singapore. As a Medical Transport Driver, you will be responsible for the safe collection, transport, and handover of patients — including elderly individuals and those with mobility challenges — while maintaining the highest standards of care, safety, and professionalism.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide a professional and caring transport service for all patients in your care
  • Ensure patient safety remains paramount at all times, with correct use of stretchers, carry chairs, wheelchairs, clamps, and seat belts
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the collection, transport, and handover of patients
  • Complete all patient transfer paperwork accurately and legibly, and return documentation to base at end of shift
  • Apply correct reaching, lifting, and handling techniques when assisting patients in and out of the vehicle
  • Carry out informal and formal risk assessments and implement safe systems of work
  • Prepare the vehicle before each shift in accordance with SOP; ensure the vehicle is kept tidy and all personal belongings are removed at end of shift
  • Report any vehicle defects, equipment deficiencies, or damaged inventory immediately
  • Check and replenish all vehicle inventory items used during each shift
  • Report any damages or incidents to superiors immediately
  • Administer first aid in the event of an incident, commensurate with your level of training
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines in accordance with current policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 3A driving licence
  • Valid BDVL (Bus Driver Vocational Licence) — mandatory
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience
  • Physically fit and able to assist patients in and out of the vehicle
  • Pleasant personality with a genuine passion for helping people, including the elderly and those with mobility challenges
  • Good communication skills; able to interact respectfully and patiently with patients, caregivers, and medical personnel
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
  • Clean driving record
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Prior ambulance or medical transport (MTS) experience is an advantage
