SALARY/WAGE: $48.00 - $58.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Barr None Mechanical Ltd with the recruitment of Heavy Duty Mechanics to join their growing team.
Barr None Mechanical is a locally owned, family-operated company specializing in mechanical service and repair. Through dedication, experience, and hard work, they have become a regional leader in diagnostics, service, and repair of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and gas compression systems.
Operating out of a newly constructed 6-bay facility in Clairmont County, Barr None Mechanical provides 24/7 support to a growing customer base across the Oil & Gas, Trucking, and Construction industries. With a highly skilled team of shop and field technicians, they are committed to delivering top-tier workmanship, efficiency, and service quality.
They are seeking experienced Shop and Field Technicians who thrive in a hands-on environment and take pride in high-quality diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair work. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial heavy equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot on-highway and off-road equipment to determine root causes
Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Complete component rebuilds, diesel engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical repairs
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work orders, parts ordering, and invoicing
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Follow all safety protocols and industry standards
Field Technicians:
Operate and maintain a company service truck
Travel to customer sites, including remote locations
Work independently with limited supervision
Occasional short overnight trips may be required
Shop Technicians:
Operate and maintain shop equipment with a strong focus on safety
Maintain a clean and organized workspace with pride of workmanship
REQUIREMENTS:
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (asset)
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence (required)
Class 1 Licence (preferred)
Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience
Strong knowledge of on-highway and off-road equipment
Proven diagnostic troubleshooting and repair experience
Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
Ability to independently determine and order required parts
CVIP Licence or willingness to obtain (asset)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Ability to adapt to changing job scopes and customer needs
