SALARY/WAGE: $26.40-$33.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. in the recruitment of a Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company specializing in facility and pipeline construction, oilfield maintenance, and pumpjack services in the Grande Prairie area. With strong growth and a well-established reputation for quality workmanship, they are a trusted name in local oilfield projects.

This role is responsible for managing full-cycle payroll processing in a fast-paced, office-based environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling complex payroll functions with accuracy and confidentiality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process biweekly and unscheduled payroll accurately and on time using Business Central payroll software
  • Administer payroll systems and complete year-end reporting including T4s and T2200s
  • Respond to internal and external payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain compliance with all payroll legislation, Employment Standards, and company policies
  • Process ROEs and termination payments within legislated timelines
  • Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets and work hours using Aimsio
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and update employee information as required
  • Troubleshoot payroll software issues and support system improvements
  • Manage complex payroll scenarios involving multiple earnings and adjustments

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Business Central and Aimsio considered assets
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numerical ability
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot payroll systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
