JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta
SALARY/WAGE: $23.00 - $25.00/hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Roska DBO Inc. in the recruitment of an HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team in Grande Prairie.
This entry-level position provides essential support to both Human Resources and Payroll functions, helping ensure accurate processing, organized systems, and effective employee communication. Reporting to the HR & Payroll Coordinator, this role supports recruitment activities, onboarding, payroll processing, and a variety of HR initiatives.
This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional who enjoys working with people, managing deadlines, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support to HR and Payroll teams
- Assist with processing workforce time and payroll documentation
- Support recruitment activities, onboarding processes, and employment letter preparation
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems for HR and payroll records
- Assist with benefit enrollments and employee information updates in internal systems
- Support HR communications and employee relations initiatives
- Assist with tracking probationary periods, service awards, and performance review processes
- Provide administrative support for HR projects such as handbook updates, job descriptions, training initiatives, and competency frameworks
- Help maintain accurate employee and contractor records within internal systems
- Support Workplace Safety and Insurance / WCB claim administration
- Ensure all documentation is properly recorded, stored, and maintained in accordance with confidentiality requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required; Office Administration diploma or certificate considered an asset
- HR and/or payroll experience considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also taking direction from leadership
- Proficiency with general office systems and willingness to learn payroll and HR platforms
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
