SALARY/WAGE: Starting at $110,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting True Medical Imaging in recruiting a CT Manager to join their team. The CT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of Computed Tomography services, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflow, and safe imaging practices. This role provides direct supervision to CT technologists and support staff, oversees scheduling and staffing, maintains imaging protocols and quality assurance programs, and ensures compliance with radiation safety, accreditation, and organizational policies. The CT Manager acts as a clinical and technical resource for staff and works closely with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to support efficient operations and continuous improvement within the CT service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily operations of the CT department, ensuring efficient patient flow, appropriate scheduling, and optimal equipment utilization.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, workload distribution, and on-call coverage to ensure adequate departmental coverage.
  • Monitor workflow and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, patient experience, and turnaround times.
  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and performance management for CT technologists and support staff.
  • Ensure CT imaging procedures are performed in accordance with departmental protocols, radiation safety standards, and clinical best practices.
  • Review and update imaging protocols in collaboration with radiologists and medical leadership.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technologists on complex or specialized imaging procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation, patient identification, and contrast administration protocols are followed
  • Perform CT technologist duties as required to support staffing levels and operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program.
  • Current registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technology (ACMDTT).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience with advanced CT procedures.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality assurance programs, accreditation processes, and radiation safety practices.
